For eight generations the Rauch/Clifton family has been farming their land in Little Hocking, Ohio. Though one of the largest farms in the county, it is still tended primarily by the three generations living on the land today: Bernard and Jane Rauch, their son Jamey and his wife, Jody, and their four children. Like many family farmers, the Rauchs feel the pressures of a global economy and competition from corporate agriculture. Their products are traditional, but their farming methods must constantly evolve. But like the generations before them did, this family works and plays together every day, rarely taking a vacation or a night off. As a result, their struggles and joys are not only those of a small business, but also those of a close-knit family.
